Dasun Shanaka is likely to make way as Hardik names his team for Qualifier 2. While GT have backed the SriLankan captain, Shanaka has failed to play an innings of substance. With in form Sai Sudharsan and Abhinav Manohar in the ranks, Gujarat will turn their attention into strengthening their unit.
With Shanaka out, Gujarat could bring back Joshua Little into the side. The left arm quick missed the past few games due to international duty but is available for selection. Alzarri Joseph also remains a suitable option.
