Rockstar Confirms the GTA VI Release Date

The wait is finally ending. Rockstar Games has officially circled November 19, 2026, for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. Set in the neon-soaked state of Leonida, this is easily the most anticipated media event of the decade.

Capcom’s Triple Threat

Capcom is dominating the first half of the year. Resident Evil Requiem (the ninth mainline entry) is set to launch in late February, featuring a dual-protagonist system with Leon Kennedy and newcomer Grace Ashcroft. This is closely followed by the long-delayed sci-fi mystery Pragmata in April and a massive revival of the Onimusha franchise later in the year.

PlayStation & Xbox Exclusives

Sony’s heavy hitter for the year is Marvel’s Wolverine. Developed by Insomniac Games, the latest leaks from the PlayStation Store suggest a September launch, neatly avoiding the November GTA chaos. On the green side, Microsoft is bringing the heat with Gears of War: E-Day, a prequel that returns the series to its survival-horror roots.

Rumoured: LEGO Batman & Forza Horizon 6

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and Forza Horizon 6, these haven’t been “officially” dated by Tt Games or Playground Games yet. However, industry insiders suggest they are primary targets for the 2026 holiday season to bolster the lineup for the next generation of hardware.

As we move closer to the summer showcase season, expect more trailers and gameplay reveals for these titles. 2026 isn’t just a year for gaming—it’s the year the next generation truly begins.
