Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo broke down in tears as he missed from the spot to give his team a much-needed lead in the UEFA Euro 2024 Round of 16 games against Slovenia. The two teams played out a cagey draw at Frankfurt Arena.

However, Ronaldo who has been poor the entire night had a perfect opportunity to give his side a much-needed lead. Portugal were awarded a spot kick when Diogo Jota burst through the middle of the pitch and all the way into the box before being fouled by Drkusic. But experienced goalkeeper Jan Oblak was swift enough to deny Ronaldo from the spot. The Selecao captain broke into tears.
