ESL Pro League and 14 CS: GO Teams Extended Louvre Agreement till 2025- The Louvre Agreement, an agreement between the tournament organizers and 14 elite Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams, has been extended until the end of 2025 by ESL. The announcement has been made earlier today. Fans of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive esports are very happy after the announcement. Here are all the details of the Louvre Agreement.

The Louvre Agreement was first established in 2020, with 13 teams signing up, including Astralis, Team Vitality, and Fnatic. When 100 Thieves left the CS: GO scene last year, the number of teams decreased to 12, but with the arrivals of BIG and Furia, the number of teams increased to 14, and the partnership was extended for another three years. In the second half of 2022, Heroic is expected to join the agreement.

The Louvre Agreement was introduced as a collaboration between ESL and the partner teams with the goal of improving monetization and establishing a new governance mechanism for the ESL Pro League. Following their exit from Counter-Strike in October 2020, 100 Thieves is the only founder member who has not extended the deal.

Despite the challenges faced over the last two years, Alex Inglot, Commissioner of ESL Pro League, said he was “proud that together we have created something so dynamic for the CS: GO ecosystem,” and that the partnership is a “manifestation of a shared desire to create a sustainable yet ambitious framework within CS: GO — one that can serve to positively impact and influence the rest of the ecosystem.”

The agreement’s continuation guarantees these teams’ places in the Pro League for the next three years. It will also give “increased revenues” for partnered teams and a “concrete commitment” to supporting CS: GO esports in North America, according to a press release, a region where a number of notable organisations have backed out of the scene, including the aforementioned 100 Thieves. The confirmation of the Louvre Agreement’s extension comes on the heels of the partnership’s recent growth, which included the addition of esports teams BIG and Furia.
