England 3-0 Ivory Coast Highlights: Goals from Watkins, Sterling and Mings saw England edge past Ivory Coast
A rampant England ended their international break with a convincing victory over Côte d’Ivoire who saw themselves reduced to 10-men before halftime.
Raheem Sterling and Jude Bellingham helped run a dominant first half for the hosts with Sterling putting the ball on a silver platter for Ollie Watkins to tap home his second international goal at the half-hour mark.
In a turbulent five minutes, Côte d’Ivoire found themselves reduced to 10-men and two goals down after Serge Aurier was given a second yellow card for dissent in the 40th minute. Sterling then put the game beyond reach with a simple finish after being set up by his Man City team-mate Jack Grealish.
England chose to rotate in the second half leading to a more disjointed performance by the hosts but, with the man advantage, found their third goal through Tyrone Mings in the dying embers of the encounter.
