In a recent interview with ESNews, the interviewer stated to Wilder that LeBron James wouldn’t have a chance against him during a hypothetical boxing match. However, he backed James for the fight and asserted that James can actually outshine him in the bout.

When pressed about it, he stated, “You know everybody got a chance. Everybody has a chance what he said a puncher’s chance.” The interviewer replied, “Nah!! I don’t think he can punch,” Wilder added, “Long as you are able to swing just like basketball. I think it’s a game of luck.”

According to Wilder, King James’ basketball skills will provide him a considerable advantage to have great boxing skills. Indeed, given his height and athleticism, there is not much doubt that he will be able to excel in boxing just as he did in basketball.
