A second player, known to be Tim Seifert, has tested positive from the Delhi Capitals camp on the eve of the game against Punjab Kings. The Delhi Capitals were placed under isolation after five members including Mitchell Marsh of their contingent had tested positive. Seifert’s results emerged just hours before the game with the tests conducted on Wednesday morning.
Earlier Mitchell Marsh, physio Patrick Farhart, sports massage therapist Chetan Kumar, team doctor Abhijit Salvi and social media content team member Akash Mane were quarantined after testing COVID-19 positive. Delhi were supposed to travel to Pune for their game against Punjab, but the itinerary was cancelled with the entire team put under quarantine.

“As far as we know, Tim Seifert of New Zealand has tested positive,” said a BCCI source.
“We were tested in the morning and we will be tested again shortly. We continue to be isolated,” said a player on the condition
of anonymity.
BCCI then made the call to shift the game to the CCI Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. But Seifert’s positive test just ahead of the game puts a major question mark on the game. ESPNCricinfo understands that the IPL GC and BCCI have kept the option of rescheduling the match. Another round of testing is set to be conducted, with the fate of the game hanging in the balance.
