"Whole nation is happy": Gautam Gambhir pleased after winning ICC Champions Trophy

The India Cricket Team lifted the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai after beating New Zealand. Now, India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir has expressed his happiness after the Men in Blue lifted the silverware in Dubai. Gautam Gambhir claimed that he himself is very happy. He further claimed that he is pleased to know that the whole nation is also happy.

This was Gautam Gambhir’s first ICC trophy as the head coach of the India Cricket Team. 9 months ago, India lifted the ICC T20 World Cup, but that was under the previous head coach, i.e. Rahul Dravid. India went unbeaten throughout the tournament to lift the silverware in Dubai.

“I am very happy, and the whole nation is happy,” Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir said while speaking to the media.

Gautam Gambhir is finally back in India. Before flying off to Dehradun, Gambhir addressed the media, citing his happiness. He is en route to travel to Mussoorie to attend Rishabh Pant’s sister’s wedding.

Under Gambhir’s mentorship India lost the Border Gavsakar Trophy, but then the Men in Blue made it up by winning the ICC Champions Trophy. Coming to Gambhir, the India head coach is unwilling to waste his time during IPL. He plans on traveling with India A who will tour the UK.
