Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced a 17-member squad for the upcoming tour to Zimbabwe where the side will play three T20Is. The series, which will be preceded by 3 ODIs, is scheduled to commence from September 3 onwards. The series against Zimbabwe will serve as another preparatory ground before the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup which will be held in February 2026.

Charith Asalanka has been named the captain of the side for the T20Is against Zimbabwe. One notable omission from the squad is that of all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga. The series against Zimbabwe will conclude just two days before the start of Asia Cup 2025, which will commence from September 9 onwards in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Sri Lanka last played a T20I series in July 2025 where they lost 1-2 to Bangladesh at home. Asalanka and co. are yet to win a T20I series this year. SL will be hoping to get a win against ZIM in the three-match series and head into Asia Cup riding high on momentum. The side will take on Bangladesh in their tournament opener on September 13 in Abu Dhabi.
