RCB star Yash Dayal accused of raping a minor during IPL 2025; booked under POSCO Act
It was only last month when Allahabad High Court put hold on a case against Yash Dayal for exploiting a women for years.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer Yash Dayal, fresh off his IPL 2025 triumph, is now entangled in a fresh controversy. An FIR has been lodged against him at Jaipur’s Sanganer Sadar Police Station, accusing the cricketer of raping a 17-year-old minor.

The allegations, reported by Dainik Bhaskar, claim Dayal exploited the minor over two years, promising her a bright future in professional cricket. This comes on the heels of a separate sexual assault case in Ghaziabad, where Dayal secured a stay on his arrest.

The Jaipur Police revealed that the victim, now 19, met Dayal through cricket when she was a minor. The FIR alleges repeated assaults over two years, with a specific incident during IPL 2025.

While in Jaipur for an RCB vs Rajasthan Royals clash (afternoon game on April 13), Dayal allegedly summoned the victim to a Sitapura hotel and raped her again. After enduring emotional and physical harassment, she lodged the complaint on July 23, 2025.

As the alleged initial incident occurred when the victim was 17, the case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.

This Jaipur case follows another FIR filed in Ghaziabad on July 6, 2025, where a woman accused Dayal of exploiting her for five years under the false promise of marriage. The Allahabad High Court, however, in a hearing before Justices Siddhartha Varma and Anil Kumar, stayed his arrest. Dayal admitted to familial introductions but denied promising marriage.
