Cheteshwar Pujara is away from cricket as he was omitted from the Indian squad against South Africa. He celebrated Christmas with his family.

Cheteshwaar Pujara is celebrating Christmas with his family at his home. He shared a wish post on his ‘X’ handle with an adorable picture of his wife and daughter.

Pujara was not selected for the Indian squad for the two-match series against Proteas in South Africa. Cheteshwaar Pujara was omitted from the side due to his inconsistent form.

However, Pujara played a few outstanding knocks in county cricket but it was not enough to impress the selectors.

Team India will take on South Africa in the opening Test match from Tuesday in Centurion. The match will be on next day of Christmas therefore named ‘Boxing Day’ Test match.

Pujara has played 17 matches in South Africa and scored 882 runs at an average of 30.41. He has one century in Proteas.
