West Indian batter Nicholas Pooran has broken the record of Chris Gayle of hitting the most sixes in a calendar year in the T20s. Pooran accomplished this record hit the sixth of his nine sixes on route to a 43-ball 97 against the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the CPL 2024, he broke Chris Gayle’s 2015 record of 135 runs.
The fiery wicketkeeper-batter, who represented eight different T20 teams in different leagues has played 58 games till August, amassed 1,844 runs at an average of 43.90 while smashing 139 maximums and an additional 120 boundaries.
On the other hand, Chris Gayle has smashed 135 sixes in 36 balls in year 2015.

Though Pooran is at the top of the list of the most sixes in a year, Chris Gayle is ruling the table with four position hold by the southpaw in top five. This is the power of the Universal boss. He has featured eight times in the the unique list.
