T20 World Cup Warm-up Live, Feb 5: NZ win vs USA by 7 runs

That is it. USA have lost their practice match to NZ by only 7 runs, but they have shown, they are prepared for the T20 World Cup. That marks the end of the warm up matches today.

USA are 182/6 and need 21 from 11 deliveries. They have a realistic chance to win.

Milind Kumar is batting well. He is 42 from 24, and if he stays, who knows, USA might just pull off a upset. It is 155/5.

USA is not giving up meekly. In fact, they are in the hunt to be honest. They have reached 122/4 in 12.2 overs now.

Saiteja is dismissed for 50 from just 31 balls. Ish Sodhi has picked up his 2nd wicket. It is 95/4 now.

Sodhi gets USA skipper Monank Patel for 31. It was a decent cameo that came from 14 deliveries. USA 73/3.

Saiteja is showing a bit of resistance against the big boys. He gets to 20 from 11 as USA 40/2 in 4 overs.

Not a great start while chasing for the USA. They have Gous and Jehanir and are 13/2 in 2 overs only.

Innings done. NZ end up scoring 208/7.Tim Seifert was brilliant with his 66, Phillips with his 40 from 18. USA need to come up with good show here.

USA should be pleased with the bowling effort in the last few overs. IF they manage to stop the oppostion for under 250, that is a great effort. It is 186/4 in 19 overs.

Phillips is caught out for 40 from 18. New Zealand curising as expected. It is 155/4 in 15 overs.

Smooth going for New Zealand for now. Seifert and Phillips are dealing in boundaries as the score moves to 121/2 in 11 overs.

Seifert has brought up a 50 in only 24 deliveries and Kiwis are looking set for a big, daunting total. NZ 90/1 in 8 overs

Kiwis have lost a wicket. Netravalkar removes Devon Conway. Tim Seifert is scoring big and has gotten 41 from 17. It is 64/1 in 6 overs.

NZ should be looking for 250 at least here. Navi Mumbai pitch is great to bat on and they have some big hitters. NZ 26/0 in 3 overs.

Two overs are done already and NZ is showing signs of confidence. Seifert and Conway have added 17 already. It is 17/0 in 2 overs.

So, the match has been fnally abandoned here in Colombo. And this could be the case when the main tournament starts too.

The next match is at 7 pm and it is between USA and New Zealand in Navi Mumbai. For now, there are no signs that the AUS vs NED match will start.

In a short while from now, AUS will take on NED in their warm up match.. at 5 PM at R Premadasa Stadium.

That is it. Nepal reach 162/4 in only 18 overs, and this win will give a lot of confidence to the minnows, going into the competition.

Nepal just need 12 from 14 in what has been an excellent effort. Gulshan Jha steering the team towards a win. It is 150/4 in 17 overs.

Nothing seems to be working for Canada at the moment. This match looks done and dusted as Nepal are 120/2.

Sandeep Jora is retired out for 41 from 26. Nepal just need 49 from 54 deliveries now. This has been a good practice match for them.

The way things are moving, Nepal should be able to secure the win in the next 5 overs. They are 106/1 in 10 overs.

Nepal is curising at the moment. Aasif Sheikh has managed to score a fifty in only 18 deliveres here. It is 80/1 in 7 overs.

A sigh of relief for Canada as they get Bhurtel for 12. Jaskaran is the wicket-taker, but Nepal clearly ahead. NEP 46/1 in 4 overs.

The chase has started and this should not be a big total for Nepal to chase down. BHurtel and Sheikh open the innings. It is 8/0 after 1 over.

Good recovery by Canada in latter stages of their innings. Movva and Jaskaran Singh forge a partneship of over 50 runs to take Canada to 161/6.

IN a surprise result, Oman has beaten Zimbabwe by 5 wickets, while chasing 188. Jatinder Singh scored 55 from 33 deliveries.

Oman on the verge of winning here, and need 16 from 16. One doesn't know if this loss should be taken seriously?

Oman have just lost their fourth wicket. But they still look like the team, who will cross the finish line. Oman need 30 from 23.

Canada continue to struggle as they lose two more wickets here. Bhurtel and Lamichhane are bowling well in tandem. CAN 91/4 in 13 over

Nepal aren't giving much to Canada as the American team has scored just 44 in 8.2 overs. Navneet is batting at a run-a-ball 21. Sandeep Lamichhane is bowling his first over now. 

In Colombo, Oman are cruising towards Zimbabwe's 187. Jatindar Singh has completed his 50 in just 25 balls, taking Oman's total to 119 in 11 overs. Hammad Mirza has been dismissed, however, for 35. Wasim Ali is the new batter in. Sikandar Raza isn't playing this match.

Nepal strike early against Canada as they lose opener Yuvraj Samra for 7 off 15. Sompal Kami with the wicket as Kushal Bhurtel takes the catch. Kanwarpal Tathgur is the new batter in. Can he impress?

In their 188-run chase, Oman have enjoyed a terrific start. Despite losing Aamir Khan early, the run-scoring hasn't stopped. In just 5 overs, Oman have hammered 62 runs. Captain Jatinder Singh has mustered 25* off 11 balls at SR of 227.27.

Meanwhile in Chennai, fan favourite Nepal are in action as they are put to bowl first by Canada. A sedate start by Canada as they make 8/0 in the first 2 overs. 

Oman openers Jatindar Singh and Aamir Khan began the Oman run-chase but added just 28 runs for the opening wicket before the latter got out to Blessing Muzarabani. 

Hammad Mirza, who is a talented batter himself, is at No. 3 

OMAN: 34/1 after 3 overs. 

Sufyan Mehmood has been the wrecker-in-chief for Oman as he took 3 wickets for just 22 runs. Nadeem Khan also bagged a couple. The current match is going on in Colombo.

In the first warm-up game of the day, Zimbabwe have hammered a strong 187 against Oman. The two pillars of the innings for Zimbabwe were Brian Bennett and Tashinga Musekiwa. Bennett made 56 off 28 up top before Oman struck 5 wickets for just 8 runs. 

Just when Zimbabwe were staring down the barrel, Musekiwa came and struck a superb 54* off 28.
