He scored his maiden century in just 49 deliveries
With the knock, Patidar became only the fourth uncapped Indian in the history of the IPL to score a century. He also became the first uncapped player to score a ton in the IPL Playoffs. This was the highest score by an uncapped player in the IPL knockouts.

- Patidar, aged 28, represents Madhya Pradesh in domestic cricket.
- He made his first-class debut for Madhya Pradesh in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy but came into limelight in the 2018-19 edition after scoring a staggering 713 runs from just 8 matches in that season.
- He was picked up by RCB at the IPL auction last year for his base price of 20 lakhs.
- He played four matches last season but managed to score only 71 runs at an average of 17.75 and a strike rate of 114.52.
- He failed to impress in the limited opportunities that he got and he went unsold in this year’s auction.
- RCB however picked him as a replacement player in place of the injured Luvnith Sisodia.
- He has played seven matches this year and has scored 275 runs that includes a century and a half-century at an average on 55 and a strike rate of 156.25.
