ILT20 season 5 dates announced, tournament to start on November 22
IN the last season of ILT20, Desert Vipers had beaten MI Emirates in the final, to lift their maiden trophy.

In a cricketing world full of T20 leagues, the Emirates Cricket Board isn’t far behind, and have a world-class product in the form of ILT20. Now, as per a report in Cricbuzz, the ILT20 2026 will commence on November 22, and the final will be played on December 20. In all 34 matches will feature in the competition, with the Dubai International Stadium set to host the summit clash.

Earlier, the league was played in Jan-Feb window, while it moved to the December window in Season 4 only. In this edition, Desert Vipers lifted their maiden trophy, and beat MI Emirates by 46 runs.“We are pleased to confirm the DP World International League T20 Season 5 window. The biggest cricketing spectacle in the Gulf region will be played from Sunday, November 22 to Sunday, December 20, 2026.

“We are delighted with Season 4’s success. The broadcast numbers, spectator interest, and the participation of top T20 stars made the tournament a remarkable success, as the quality of the league grew further,” David White, the CEO of ILT20, said.

The schedule, the teams, the players, all the details are still not revealed, and will happen on a later date. As for last year, a host of top players from the world over, had participated in the competition.

Andre Russell, Azmatullah Omarzai, Dinesh Karthik, Pathum Nissanka, Fakhar Zaman, Jason Holder, Jason Roy, Kieron Pollard, Moeen Ali, Mohammad Nabi, Naseem Shah, Nicholas Pooran, Phil Salt, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Romario Shepherd, Shakib Al Hasan Sikandar Raza, Sunil Narine, Tim David and Tim Southee, were all part of this tournament.
