Jasprit Bumrah Confirmed to Play Manchester Test
In what comes as a positive news for the Indian camp, their spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is available to play in the fourth Test at Manchester, starting July 23. There was a lot of conjecture surrounding his availability, but perhaps a loss in the Lord’s Test might have propelled the team management, to retain him for the next match.
KL Rahul Missing at Team India Practice
After a break of two days, Team India started their preparations in Beckenham, Kent County Cricket Club Ground on Thursday. While all the players attended the session, the only exception was KL Rahul. No clear reason was given for his absence. Meanwhile, the team will travel to Manchester on July 19.
Indian Pacer Injured, Might Hamper 4th Test Plans
During training on Thursday, pacer Arshdeep Singh received a cut on his left hand, as reported by media present at the venue. There were talks of the left-hander being drafted in the playing XI, but that might just put the plans on hold for now. There is no clarity on fitness status, and if he will be fine before the 4th Test.

Indian keeper-batter Rishabh Pant is also recovering from a finger injury. In fact, he sat out of India’s practice session as well. But Ryan Ten Doeschate hinted that Pant might regain fitness, but might not keep wickets. “He will bat in Manchester before the Test. I don’t think you’re gonna keep Rishabh out of the Test no matter what. He batted with quite a lot of pain in the 3rd Test, and it’s only going to get easier on his finger,” ten Doeschate said.
