CSK training camp for IPL 2025 to start on February 20, MS Dhoni & Ruturaj Gaikwad expected to attend
This could very well be Dhoni's last season for CSK in the IPL.

The Lucknow Super Giants, Gujarat Titans, and Punjab Kings have all started their preparations for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will join them soon as well. The 5-time champions are expected to set up a training camp for their players a month before the IPL 2025 season and a day after the ICC Champions Trophy kicks off.

CSK training camp starting date

According to CricBlogger, CSK will start their training camp on February 20. Unlike the last season when the domestic season was still on a week before the IPL 2024 season commenced, this time around the domestic action will stop on March 2. Just eight teams remain in action, those who qualified for the Ranji Trophy quarterfinals.

Dhoni, Gaikwad & Ashwin are expected to be present

That number will be decreased to four teams by February 12 and just two teams by February 21. Main players like MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Ravichandran Ashwin will be available from the first day of the CSK training camp. Dhoni and Ashwin are no longer active international players and since Maharashtra has been knocked out of the Ranji Trophy, Gaikwad will be available as well.

Ravindra Jadeja won’t be there since he’ll be on national duty, playing in the ICC Champions Trophy. Shivam Dube isn’t part of Team India’s squad, but since Mumbai can go to the semifinals and beyond, he’s unlikely to join the CSK training camp as well. But several other domestic players will be available.
