In the 2nd ODI between India and England, England won the toss and chose to bat first at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Debutant Varun Chakravarthy struck early, dismissing Phil Salt for 26. Ben Duckett and Joe Root then built a solid partnership, with Duckett reaching his half-century in 36 balls. Root followed suit, bringing up his 50 off 61 balls.
India introduced spin early, with Varun Chakravarthy impressing by controlling the run flow and taking key wickets. Despite some boundaries from Duckett, India’s bowlers kept the pressure on.
