Davis will face Garcia on Saturday, April 22, at the T-Mobile Arena. The two will headline an exciting PBC card. However, ‘Tank’ could have a few eventful weeks after the fight as he still has court proceedings in May. So here’s a quick breakdown of Gervonta Davis’ trouble with the law.

Davis first faced trouble with the authorities on Feb 27, 2019, when the authorities issued an arrest warrant for the superstar boxer for an altercation with another man at an ATM. Davis allegedly shoved a police officer. However, the authorities dismissed the case in October of the same year.
A year later, on February 4, 2020, Davis faced charges of simple battery and domestic violence against the mother of his daughter. A 14-second video showed Davis forcibly grabbing the woman by the neck and pulling her out of her seat. Although Davis initially posted a statement denying the abuse, alleged video evidence then confirmed that Davis pulled his arm back and then forward toward the victim. However, Davis got out on $1500 bail. And in December 2022, authorities dismissed the case.
In November of the same year, Davis faced an accusation of fleeing an accident scene that involved four people, including a pregnant woman. The world champion faced 14 charges. In February 2023, Davis pleaded guilty to the hit-and-run charges. He now awaits sentencing on May 5.
And finally, in December 2022, authorities arrested Gervonta Davis again for allegedly striking a woman with a closed-hand type slap. The woman made several distress calls for help, including to the police and on her vehicle’s emergency number.
Davis vehemently denied these charges and a few days later, the woman confirmed that Davis did not harm her or her daughter. She confirmed that it was a mistake she made when emotions were running high.
