Kuldeep Yadav already in T20 World Cup mode! DC spinner refuses to bowl to Tristian Stubbs in nets

Stubbs is the Delhi Capitals second-highest run-scorer, and Kuldeep is their second-highest wicket taker in the IPL 2024.

The Delhi Capitals are one loss anyway from getting eliminated from IPL 2024. For them to stay in the mix, they need to win each of their remaining two matches and hope that other teams don’t surpass them. Under these circumstances, you’d hope that all of their players would come together. But that’s not the case with Kuldeep Yadav and Tristian Stubbs.

T20 World Cup mission on Kuldeep Yadav’s mind

Much of the Delhi Capitals’ success can be pinned on them. But, despite being teammates, they are at odds. Why? Because of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. Kuldeep Yadav, who’ll play for India next month, doesn’t want his competitor, South African Tristian Stubbs, to get to know all of his tricks.

Stubbs was asked a question during an interview with The Grade Cricketer podcast about how he’s handling Kuldeep’s wrong-ups or googlies. To their surprise, the Protean revealed that the leg-spinner had denied the batter the privilege of getting to face his mystery ball.

“He won’t bowl to me. I’ve tried a few times to go face him, but he won’t bowl. I think he’s trying to keep it a mystery, so I can’t tell you. But I’ve tried to face him; he’s not having it,” Stubbs said.

The South African batter revealed that both want to prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, and that’s the reason neither of them wants to give the other the upper hand. Kuldeep Yadav wants to keep his legs-spin mystery away from Tristian Stubbs, as India vs South Africa can happen in June, and Stubbs wants to have some practice facing the Indian ace before the mega-event.
