Australia tour of Bangladesh, Ban vs Aus: The Bangladesh Cricket Board, on Wednesday, said it is ready to host Australia for a five-match T20I series despite some logistical issues regarding the series in August.

Cricket Australia, on Wednesday, announced an 18-member squad for the West Indies and Bangladesh tour. However, they added that the series against Bangladesh is yet to be finalised which is subject to agreement on bio-security arrangements.

According to the Cricbuzz report, CA has demanded that no one can enter the team hotel during their stay as a precautionary measure against Covid-19.

Australia tour of Bangladesh, Ban vs Aus: Furthermore, the touring party is also reluctant of going through the immigration process after landing in Dhaka. Instead, they want to directly reach the team hotel from the airport.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has planned to host the series in Chattogram and Dhaka but CA wants the series to be played at one venue.

When the bilateral tour is on, there is a final confirmation between the two boards and they (CA) are right in stating that the tour is subject to confirmation as neither we nor they have confirmed the tour officially,” Nizamuddin was quoted by Cricbuzz as saying

Still we are working on that (demand put up by CA) and what they are saying is not impossible to implement I guess,” he said. “Already we are talking with the hotel authorities and concerned ministries regarding the home series against Australia. We are expecting a formal confirmation but obviously, there are some challenges and we can say something concrete about it only after confirming it with respective authorities.

Former Australia captain Steve Smith and destructive opening batsman David Warner could miss the tour of the West Indies and Bangladesh.
