The incident took place during the game when the fan, Joy Shankar Saha suffered a cardiac arrest. He was immediately rushed to a nearby Private Hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors. Following the completion of the game, East Bengal coach Stephen Constantine took to social media to pay respect to the departed soul.
“We are deeply saddened to hear about the sudden passing away of Joy Shankar Saha, who was one of our loyal supporters. On behalf of the club and players, I would like to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Joy. Gone too soon.🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷” wrote Constantine on Social Media.

ATK Mohun Bagan grabbed the bragging rights after winning the KOLKATA Derby. 2 Second half goals from Hugo Boumous and Manvir Singh was enough to seal the tie in their favour.
