With the win, South Africa lead the two-match Test series 1-0. The win at Kingsmead saw the Proteas register their fourth win of the current WTC cycle and increase their percentage points to 66.66. The Dean Elgar led side, won the Test series against India earlier this year, before two-match Test series against New Zealand ended in a 1-1 tie. Currently, they have four wins and two losses out of the six games that they have played.
