TUF 31 Episode 5 Review: Michael Chandler Seals The Series, Conor McGregor Yet to Enter Winning Column

For fans of McGregor, the latest episode of TUF 31 was a tough pill to swallow as their favorite fighter’ camp suffered yet another loss, resulting in his team’s defeat in the series. On the other hand, Team Chandler continued their impressive run with Brad Katona securing a well-deserved victory over Carlos Vera. Overall, the episode was a mix of disappointment for McGregor fans and excitement for Chandler’s team as they maintained their winning streak.

The two fighters put on a closely contested match, with Vera showcasing his striking skills while Katona dominated with his grappling and takedowns. Despite Vera’s best efforts, he was unable to overcome Katona’s control on the ground, ultimately leading to his defeat. Katona’s dominance in the top position and ground strikes proved to be the key factors in his well-deserved unanimous decision win.

McGregor is clearly frustrated and even entered the cage after the fight and complained about the TUF bouts being only two rounds long. The reason was another close decision loss for a fighter in Team McGregor, marking the second consecutive episode with such an outcome. And now there is three fights left in the series, and now it will be interesting to see will McGregor’s team gets a win ot notz
