Top batsmen like Tanmay Agarwal and Tilak Verma were dismissed cheaply for 1 and 8 respectively. However, Tanay Thyagarajan put a little effort by scoring 25 off 24 balls to propel Hyderabad to 90 runs. Tamil Nadu’s Saravanakumar returned with best bowling figure 5/21, while Murugan Ashwin and M Mohammad scalped two wickets each.
In response to the target of 91 runs, Tamil Nadu lost an early wicket Narayana Jagadeeshan for 1 run, followed up with Hari Nishant for 14 runs. Despite getting early breakthrough, Hyderabad couldn’t turn around the game as Vijay Shankar (43* off 40 balls) and Sai Sudharsan (34* off 31 balls) led the charge with a brilliant partnership stand. Shankar and Sudharsan took Tamil Nadu to victory with 34 balls to spare. Hyderabad’s Rakshann Reddi scalped two wickets.

Karnataka beat Vidarbha: In the other semifinal, despite missing star players, Karnataka managed to scrape through to a 4-run victory.
Asked to bat first, Karnataka were off to a good start with Rohan Kadam and Manish Pandey putting up a brilliant partnership of 132 runs for the first wicket. Kadam played a match-defining knock of 87 off 55 balls, while Manish scored 54 off 42 balls. In the final over, the Karnataka batting line-up began to topple as they lost four wickets in just 1 run, thanks to Darshan Nalkande 4-wicket haul.
In response to the target of 177 runs, Vidarbha’s Atharva Taide and Ganesh Satish provided a great start to Vidarbha in the first four overs. After Taide’s wicket, Vidarbha continued to put a brilliant fight with Apoorv Wankhade and Akshay Karnewar sharing a 51-run partnership for the sixth wicket. But went in vain as Karnataka bowlers restricted them to 172/6. Karnataka’s KC Cariappa scalped two wickets, while Darshan MB, Vidyadhar Patil, Jagadeesha Suchith and Karun Nair picked one wicket each.
