Haryana meanwhile had the likes of Pardeep Narwal, Surender Nada, Mohit Goyat, and Jaideep Dahiya. Surprisingly, Pardeep Narwal was not named in the starting seven for Haryana.

Services took lead at the start of the contest with the held from the team’s experienced raiding trio. With just five minutes remaining in the first-half, realising that the game is slipping away from them, Haryana brought Pardeep Narwal into the attack. However he was tackled twice as Services maintained their lead. The first-half came to an end with the scores at 18-10.

National Games Final – Services dominated in second-half

Haryana began the second-half with successive super tackles on Manjeet. It helped the team reduce the deficit to five points. Haryana’s defence continued the good work as Jaideep and Mohit combined for another super tackle on Arjun Deshwal.

However Naveen Kumar reduced them to just one man on the mat after a two-point raid. Within seven minutes into the second-half, Haryana were all out as Services took a 26-18 lead.

From then on it became a lop-sided encounter. Services went on with their job and won the contest comfortably to clinch the gold medal in the National Games.

Meanwhile in the Women’s Kabaddi Himachal Pradesh bagged the National Games gold medal. The team led by Pushpa Rana defeated Haryana 32-23.

Maharashtra lead the medals tally in this edition of the National. The state has bagged a total of 211 medals. Services meanwhile is at the second spot with 120 medals overall.
