IND vs NZ: Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal set to battle it out in Down Under, lead spinner spot heats up – Once India’s spin destroyers under Virat Kohli, Chahal and Kuldeep had a quick windfall. The likes of Axar Patel, Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Krunal Pandya, & Washington Sundar – finger spinners edged Chahal and Kuldeep, the wrist-spinning duo.
With Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel not part of the ODI series against New Zealand, Chahal and Kuldeep have a great chance to cement their places in the team. But only one among them will be picked.
IND vs NZ: Why one among Chahal and Kuldeep will be picked against New Zealand?
- Sundar will take one spot owing to the matchups he will give due to being a left-hand spin bowler. Also, the southpaw is pretty handy lower down the order.
- Three pacers will likely play in the playing XI owing to the seam and swing conditions on offer in New Zealand.
- With four spots gone, only one spot remains and KULCHA will have to fight for that one wrist spinner slot.
- Chahal, who was benched for all six games in the T20 World Cup 2022, got the chance in India’s playing XI in the NZ T20 series and in the 1st ODI owing to his experience.
- Call it a lack of game timing, but in the first ODI, Yuzvendra Chahal appeared rusty.
- He gave away far too many free gifts, and against Latham, he appeared absolutely clueless.
