GodLike Esports didn’t have an easy path to glory. The tournament began with the Group Stage, where the team struggled to find their footing. Over the course of seven match days, they faced early exits in multiple games and finished in seventh place in the standings. This precarious position meant that their Playoff journey would begin in the last round, Round 7, requiring them to defeat every team ranked above them to claim the title.
In an incredible display of determination and skill, GodLike Esports defied the odds, battling through fatigue and tougher opponents in a single day. On Jan. 26, they played all seven matches of the Playoffs back-to-back, overcoming every obstacle in their path to lift the coveted trophy.
GodLike Esports also walked away with $16,000 of the $40,000 prize pool from PUACL India 2025.
The PUACL 2025 India, hosted by Skyesports, drew over 461,000 viewers on the final day alone, showcasing the growing popularity of Pokémon UNITE esports in India. With Skyesports at the helm, Pokémon UNITE has steadily risen as one of the country’s top esports titles. GodLike Esports’ victory serves as a testament to the talent and potential of Indian players and sets the stage for an exciting showing at the PUACL Finals in Japan.
