CSA T20 League: Paarl Royals Squad: Rajasthan Royals have named its South Africa T20 League franchise Paarl Royals. The IPL 2022 runners-up have also opted to go with 3 players from its IPL 2022 roster. Jos Buttler, Obed McCoy and Corbin Bosch have made the initial line-up. David Miller who led Gujarat Titans to IPL title will also play for Paar Royals. The tournament will kick start in January 2023 with all six franchises being owned by IPL teams. David Miller also played for Rajasthan Royals for two seasons before Gujarat Titans picked him from the auction. This will be the third cricket franchise from the Royals Sports Group, after Rajasthan Royals in the IPL and Barbados Royals in the CPL.
“This investment enables us to further scout and develop world-class talent, grow our fanbase by bringing more fans into the Royals family and help extend the reach of the IPL too, in line with our core purpose of ‘Transforming Society through Sport, Transforming Sport through innovation’,” Rajasthan Royals said in a press release.

The Paarl Royals will be based out of Paarl, a city in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Equipped with the best of operational and logistical facilities, the Boland Park Cricket Stadium in Paarl will be the team’s home ground during the tournament.
Meanwhile, the RPSG Durban franchise have roped in five superstars, including Quinton de Kock and Jason Holder who are part of the LSG franchise in the IPL. Kyle Mayers has also been retained while Reece Topley has also joined the ranks. Incidentally, Topley was primed to replace Mark Wood during IPL 2022 but the left-arm pacer failed to get a NOC for the same.

CSA T20 League: RPSG Durban retain LSG core
- Quinton de Kock and Jason Holder were pivotal players in LSG’s run to the IPL 2022 playoffs and have been retained for the Durban franchise.
- Kyle Mayers did not feature for LSG but was part of the squad and was picked for the CSA T20 League.
- LSG had an interest in Reece Topley during the IPL, and have brought him onboard in their South African franchise.
- Uncapped superstar Prenalen Subrayen has also been added to their ranks.
Among these signings, the Sanjiv Goenka-owned team also added uncapped Proteas star Prenalen Subrayen to their ranks. A veteran of the South African domestic circuit, Subrayen was part of the Durban franchise in the Mzansi T20 League and will shore up the spin department at RPSG Durban.
