The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 has started to take its shape with a few teams registering consecutive defeats whereas a few others have been in their top form. The tournament has also seen some upsets, but in Group D match between Canada and UAE, it was Junaid Siddique who stole the limelight. The 33-year-old right-arm medium fast, picked up a fifer in the match as UAE restricted Canada at 150/7 in their 20 overs.
The UAE bowler, during his four over spell, conceded 35 runs while picking five wickets at an economy of 8.80. The 33-year-old first dismissed captain Dilpreet Bajwa with Muhammad Waseem taking a catch, followed by a wicket of opener Yuvraj Samra. Siddique then dismissed Harsh Thaker, who looked good, scoring 50 off 41 deliveries, followed by wickets on wicketkeeper Shreyas Movva and Saad Bin Zafar. After his fifer, he brought a sajdah celebration, video of which have been going viral.

Moreover, he is also the second Associate bowler with a fifer in T20 World Cup history, whereas 14th overall with this feat in the tournament history.
