The Hundred Women’s tournament saw its first-ever player auction on Wednesday, March 11 at the Piccadilly Lights, London. The auction saw as many as 178 women cricketers go under the hammer, including international stars such as Tammy Beaumont, Deepti Sharma, veteran stars in Sophie Devine, Beth Mooney. While the eight franchises aimed at completing their squads for the upcoming edition, New Zealand veteran Sophie Devine and Australian star Beth Mooney were among the most expensive players, bagging £210K from the Welsh Fire and Trent Rockets, respectively.
