Shubman Gill’s father congratulates Sarfaraz Khan’s father after his son’s blistering 50 on debut
Sarfaraz's father and wife were present for his debut match in Rajkot, while Gill's father is often seen attending his son's matches.

Sarfaraz Khan slammed the second-fastest fifty on debut by an Indian in the IND vs ENG 3rd Test. The domestic great showcased his full repertoire in Rajkot, scoring a quickfire 62. Seeing his son reach a half-century on debut, Sarfaraz Khan’s father, Naushad Khan, was beaming with pride.

Unfortunately for him, his son’s knock was cut short by an untimely runout. His knock saw India propel past the 300-run mark with ease, but the 26-year-old couldn’t get to his maiden ton. After the match, the last match’s centurion, Shubman Gill‘s father, Lakhwinder Singh Gill, congratulated Naushad on his son’s success.

Having felt elated watching his son reach heights, Gill’s father understood what Sarfaraz Khan’s father might have felt seeing their wish come true.

After Sarfaraz Khan got this Test cap, he immediately ran toward his father and wife. Seeing his lifelong dream come true, the father and son were both emotional as they hugged in elation.
