India have beaten Pakistan rather convincingly, and now the pressure will be off them, to a certain extent. The Super 8 qualification in the T20 World Cup has come too, and now only a game vs Netherlands remains. So, should the team management look to rest a few players, or go full strength, to keep up the winning momentum?
Well, the match will be played on 18th Feb in Ahmedabad, and technically no real changes are needed in the India playing XI. But since some players might need to be tried, and some might need to be rested, there will be changes for sure. InsideSport takes a look at the Predicted India XI for the Netherlands encounter.
Rest for Jasprit Bumrah
IT is only wise to rest Jasprit Bumrah, as soon as a match arrives, where he is not needed. Instead, the team can play Arshdeep Singh, who was not played for the match vs Pakistan. There is an option of Mohammed Siraj as well, but the left-arm pacer comes first in the pecking order.
Get in Washington Sundar
All-rounder Washington Sundar is fully-fit now, and was seen warming-up during the match vs Pakistan. So, it just means, that he is good to go, and needs to be tested in a match. So, Kuldeep Yadav can sit out for a match and Washi can get some game time. If needed, he can made to bat higher up also, maybe above Hardik Pandya or Shivam Dube.
Sanju Samson misses cut
Abhishek Sharma missed a game, and then got out for a duck vs Pakistan. But then he is the best in the world still, and to play Sanju Samson over him, is not needed. On the other hand, Ishan Kishan had already sealed his top spot in the New Zealand series, and now he scored a brilliant 77 from 40 on Sunday. So, Samson doesn’t get a look-in.
Predicted India playing XI vs Netherlands
Suryakumar Yadav (c), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Rinku Singh.
