Now, in a latest, Bangladesh T20I skipper Litton Das has opened up on the entire situation. Actually, he also did not make it very clear, as to what the situation really was. He went on to tell the reporters on Wednesday, that it was not safe for him to comment.
“Are you sure we are going to play in the World Cup? From my side, I am uncertain; everyone is uncertain,” Litton told reporters. “I think the whole of Bangladesh is uncertain at this moment. No answer. I understand the question you are going to ask. It is not safe for me. No answer.”
Skipper Litton Das clueless
He was in fact, even asked about the political situation in Bangladesh as well, to which he replied the same. “It’s not safe. Not safe. Not safe. No answer. Thank you, brother. And please don’t take offence at my answer,” said Litton. This entire episode started when BAN pacer Mustafizur Rahman was released by KKR, and then BCB took a position of not sending their team to India for the World Cup.
As far as the reports go, the ICC is not in the mood to entertain any requests by the BCB. Since the schedule was prepared last year. Meanwhile, as per other reports, even Pakistan has come forward to hold Bangladesh matches.
