Nepal cricket team is all set to tour India and play Mumbai in two preparatory games ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026. The team, led by captain Rohit Paudel, will commence their campaign in the marquee tournament by taking on England on February 8, and have been placed in Group C. In a bid to ramp up their preparation for the T20 WC, Nepal will tour Sri Lanka and India where they will take part in T20 games against Sri Lanka A and Mumbai.
Nepal to play two matches against Mumbai before T20 WC
Nepal cricket team will arrive in Sri Lanka by January 19 and will hold practice sessions on 19, 21 and 23. The first T20 against Sri Lanka A will be played on January 20 followed by the second on January 22 and the third on January 24. This will be phase 1 of their preparation for the T20 World Cup.
In phase 2, they will arrive in India before January 27 to take on Mumbai Cricket Association President’s XI in two T20s. The first game, which will be a day fixture, will take place on January 29 while the second game, a day/night fixture, will take place on January 31. Both matches will take place in Mumbai’s Cricket Club of India (CCI).
