The Hundred auction 2026, LIVE Updates: After a record-breaking women’s auction, where Beth Mooney and Sophie Devine fetched £210,000 (approximately INR 2.59 crore) each, the attention now shifts to the Men’s Hundred auction 2026. The eight franchises have retained and directly signed players. Joe Root, Aiden Markram and Shaheen Afridi are some of the biggest names who’ll go under the hammer, 238 players total, in Piccadilly Lights in central London.

Shaheeh Afridi has withdrawn from the auction. Other big names are Sunil Narine, Quinton de Kock and Allah Ghazanfar. The reason for the withdrawls aren't known right now.

The franchises have a budget of €2.05 million, seeing a rise by 45% from last year as they look to complete a squad comprising 14-16 players. The teams have so far used £950,000 of their purse in the pre-auction signings, leaving them with only £1.1 million going into the auction.

The auction will be divided into 3 phases. First the 'Hero Players' will come up, which will be the top 50 most nominated players by the franchises.

Then the 'Ranked Players', which will be 50 players who either missed in the first phase or were the next most wanted players.

The last one will be 'Nominated players. ' There won't be any fixed number here. The teams who'll need to fill up the squads will nominate players. This will be the last chance to get a bid.
