Ranji Trophy LIVE: Welcome to the start of the second leg of the Ranji Trophy 2025/26 as we see all 38 teams get back to red-ball action after Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy action. We are in the sixth round of fixtures and the qualification to the knockouts is of utmost importance for all the teams. The star power is added in this round as well, with Indian Test captain Shubman Gill taking part and leading Punjab against a strong Saurashtra side that has Ravindra Jadeja in their team as well. Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rajat Patidar, and Sarfaraz Khan are obviously there as well.

Recently crowned Vijay Hazare Trophy champions Vidarbha are in massive trouble against Andhra Pradesh. After opting to bat first, they go from 29/0 to 45/4 in no time. Former MI pacer S Raju has picked up all four wickets as he wreaks havoc. 

Aman Mokhade (21) and Atharva Taide (13) failed to convert starts, while youngster Danish Malewar got out for a duck. Samarth R also disappointed. Yash Rathod and Rohit Binkar are at the crease now. Nitish Kumar Reddy has bowled 2 maidens after bowling four overs so far.

Meanwhile, just like Saurashtra, Delhi have also lost 4 wickets! After Arya and Kandpal's dismissals, captain Ayush Badoni got run out, while Sanat Sangwan was deemed LBW by Ashish Choauhan. Youngster Ayush Doseja and Sumit Mathur at crease now.

The morning session of Day 1 has belonged to Shubman Gill's Punjab. Saurashtra's choice to bat first has backfired as they lose 4 wickets inside 17 overs. All the veterans, including Harvik Desai, Chirag Jani, Ajay Vasavada and Ravindra Jadeja, are back in the pavilion. Jadeja has been dismissed for 7 off 6 balls as Jass Inder gets him with Harpreet Brar taking his catch.

Punjab have taken an early breakthrough in the form of Chirag Jani (8) as Sanvir Singh picks up the wicket. Jay Gohil now joins Harvik Desai on the crease.
