Rishabh Pant (11 off 8) and Aiden Markram (7 off 7) have kept the scoreboard ticking for LSG despite losing Mitchell Marsh early on in the innings. Siraj has been good so far, conceding 10 runs in his 2 overs. The batters seem to be going after Rabada instead.

"There were a lot of things running in our minds regarding how the game went. We could have done things better in some areas, but honestly, the bowlers performed very well under pressure. Prasidh, in particular, bowling that final over with 5 fielders inside the circle, defending 12, it was always going to be challenging. Obviously, skill is never in question here, it's always about our decision-making, how we take care of the ball and how well we execute. I think we did that pretty well in the last game," Washington Sundar said ahead of the LSG vs GT match.

Gujarat Titans have a top-heavy batting lineup with Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler, and Shubman Gill providing consistency. However, after the Top 3, GT struggle to find consistency. Glenn Phillips has scored 25, 3 and 14. Washington Sundar did score his maiden half-century last game but he is yet to be a reliable batter. Rahul Tewatia has been out of form for the last three years but he continues to get chances. 

However, their bowling continues to be good with Kagiso Rabada and Prasidh Krishna scalping regularly. Rashid Khan is also back to his best with 3/17 against Delhi Capitals. Mohammed Siraj’s form could be a concern, while the absence of Sai Kishore continues to raise eyebrows. 

Lucknow Super Giants unearthed potential in all-rounder Mukul Choudhary, whose heroics helped secure a thrilling win over Kolkata Knight Riders. However, their poor home record at Ekana Stadium remains a concern. LSG lost six of eight home games last season. The batting relies heavily on Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, and Nicholas Pooran, with captain Rishabh Pant blowing hot and cold. The middle order needs stability. 

LSG’s pace attack, featuring Mohammed Shami, Avesh Khan, and emerging talents, ranks among the strongest in the league and will test GT’s top order. However, injuries remain a concern. Despite a bright start, Mohsin Khan has been on the bench with another niggle. 

The black-soil pitch at Ekana is generally slow and favours spinners and cutters as the game progresses, often producing moderate-scoring contests rather than high-octane 200+ totals. Early on, batters can play strokes, but the surface tends to grip and slow down, making disciplined batting essential. Average first-innings score hovers around 160-170 in recent T20s. Spinners have historically taken a higher share of wickets. 

Dew is usually minimal in April, so chasing may not have a huge advantage. Teams often prefer batting first to set a target, though bowlers play a bigger role in the middle and death overs.
