Well, the rumours were true. It has been confirmed that the BCCI will release the IPL 2026 schedule by March 12. It all makes sense now since the Election Commission of India will be announcing the state-election dates on March 11. So, considering that, the IPL stakeholders will be releasing the IPL 2026 SCHEDULE on March 12, Thursday.

Well, a new twist is likely to come in. As per multiple tweets, the BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia, has told reporters that they will release the IPL 2026 schedule on March 12. However, the news isn't verified yet. It seems that the BCCI hasn't heard anything from the election committee yet.

As per reports, the BCCI will be dropping the IPL schedule in two phases due to state elections across various states. First batch (opening ~15-20 days) expected any time now today – likely in the evening IST

Fans are hopeful that the BCCI will release the IPL 2026 schedule today. It was previously reported that the BCCI will announce it on the day of the T20 World Cup 2026 final. However, it has been a couple of days since.
