India’s famous spinner, Kuldeep Yadav is back in the Indian team for the Champions Trophy 2025. On Saturday, the team’s Head Coach Gautam Gambhir and Captain Rohit Sharma announced the team for the Champions Trophy and shared the news about Kuldeep’s return.
Kuldeep’s injury and comeback
Kuldeep is back to training after recovering from his injury. He posted a video on Instagram with the caption “locked in,” showing himself practising in the nets. He missed the whole Border-Gavaskar Trophy because he had hernia surgery, as Captain Rohit Sharma mentioned. Kuldeep went to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) at home during the Test series against New Zealand, and he hasn’t played since then.
Focus on India vs England Series
Kuldeep is also focusing on the upcoming India vs England series. This series is set to happen just before the Champions Trophy and will be a great time for players to get used to playing in the ODI team. Kuldeep will be trying to give his best to the series, as this will set up the tone for him for the Champions Trophy.
