At the age of 41, Jammu and Kashmir captain Paras Dogra has created history by becoming the only second batter to score over 10,000 runs in Ranji Trophy. The J&K captain, who made his first-class debut in the 2001/02 season, has taken 147 innings to breach the 10,000-run mark in first-class domestic cricket in India. The only other player to do so is former Indian and Mumbai cricketer Wasim Jaffer who sits on top of the list with over 12,000 runs to his name.

Dogra went past the 10,000-run mark in the Ranji Trophy 2025/26 semi-final against Bengal. At the time of publishing this copy, the J&K captain is batting on 40 runs. Dogra also sits second on the list of most centuries in Ranji Trophy, with 33 triple-figure scores to his name.
Talking about the Ranji Trophy 2025/26 semi-final, J&K managed to bundle out Bengal for 328 runs in their 1st innings. Auqib Nabi was the star once again, picking up yet another five-wicket haul and finishing with figures of 5/87. Sunil Kumar added three scalps to his name. Sudip Kumar Gharami, who waged a lone warrior knock for Bengal, was dismissed for 146 runs as he narrowly missed out on a well-deserved 150. J&K trail Bengal by 215 runs at Tea on Day 2 and have 7 wickets remaining.
