Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) celebrations after their dominating win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in IPL 2024 hit a minor detour. Due to bad weather conditions in Kolkata, their charter flight was diverted to Guwahati, adding an extra leg to their journey.
Their chartered flight departed Lucknow at 5:45 PM IST and was expected to touch down in Kolkata by 7:25 PM IST. However, rain god had other plans. Inclement weather conditions in Kolkata necessitated a change of course, prioritizing the safety of the players. The flight landed safely in Guwahati, where the KKR team awaited further travel arrangements.
