Last week, reports had claimed that Mark Wood is all but confirmed to miss the AUS vs ENG 2nd Test in Brisbane due to an injury. This has now been confirmed. All-rounder Jacks will replace him in the playing XI for the pink-ball tie.
Despite a poor show from the batters in the Perth Test, England batters have decided to persist with the same order. Jacks addition to the squad will boost the visitors’ batting depth as they hope to level the series 1-1 with a win in Brisbane. England last played a day-night Test way back in 2023 against England where they emerged victorious by 267 runs against New Zealand.
