BCCI on IND vs PAK
Devajit Saikia has confirmed that India will play Pakistan in the Asia Cup. The BCCI Secretary stated that they are just following the government’s order. Saikia further added that if India boycotts Pakistan at multinational events, not just in cricket but also in other sports, then Indian sports federations will be sanctioned by world bodies.

Samson
Sanju Samson has survived an injury scare just four days before India commences their Asia Cup campaign. The wicketkeeper batter looked in pain while doing batting drills and left practice. However, two hours later, he hit the nets and was spotted smashing sixes.

Bronco

India A squad
Shreyas Iyer has been announced as India A’s captain for the upcoming 2-match first-class series against Australia A. Sai Sudharsan, Dhruv Jurel, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Prasidh Krishna are other Test players selected in the 15-man team. KL Rahul and Mohammed Siraj will be added to the squad for the second game.

Gill captain
Former South African cricketer Daryll Cullinan thinks that Shubman Gill should be named India’s ODI captain. He thinks that BCCI may not continue with Rohit Sharma since he won’t regularly play international cricket. Cullinan reckons if Rohit does play, he should as a batter but not as India’s skipper.

Pakistan won’t attend the opening ceremony of the Women’s ODI World Cup. All of the other 7 teams will be present in Guwahati on September 30. Since Pakistan and India have agreed not to play on their home soils, the Women in Green will only play matches at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
