ICC goes big for Women’s World Cup
In a monumental change, the ICC has increased the prize money for the Women’s ODI World Cup from INR 30.80 crore in 2022 to INR 122 crore in 2025. The winners alone will get INR 39 crore. In comparison, the total prize money for the Men’s ODI World Cup in 2023 was INR 88 crore.
Pant underappreciated in T20s?
Former India opener Aakash Chopra is perplexed as to why Rishabh Pant doesn’t get talked about much when it comes to being selected for T20Is. He pointed out that Pant was India’s third-highest run-getter in the 2024 T20 World Cup and has an exceptional record at multiple positions. However, just because of his poor IPL 2025 season, people have started to underestimate him.
No Kohli in ABD’s list
AB de Villiers hasn’t named his good friend Virat Kohli among the five best players he played with or against in Test cricket. ABD picked Sachin Tendulkar as the lone batter, Jacques Kallis and Andrew Flintoff as the all-rounders, and the two bowlers were Shane Warne and Mohammad Asif.
