India’s ODI captain, Shubman Gill, has confirmed that post the South Africa ODI series, the selectors and management will talk about Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli playing domestic cricket so they remain in good touch. Kohli breaks most runs record

Virat Kohli has become the second-highest ODI run-scorer of all time after his 74-run knock in Sydney. Now, only Sachin Tendulkar remains ahead of him. However, if we talk about most runs scored in white-ball cricket, ODI and T20I combined, Kohli now holds the record over Tendulkar.

Prior to the last ODI, Nitish Kumar Reddy was ruled out due to a quadriceps injury, and during the match, Shreyas Iyer also suffered an injury. While taking a running back catch, Shreyas sustained damage to his ribs and had to be taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

In Madhya Pradesh, to play against South Africa, the two cricketers were walking to a cafe when the incident happened. The man named Aqeel Khan has been arrested, and BCCI has apologised to the CA and the Australian players.

Gaikwad-Sarfaraz

In the second round of matches of the Ranji Trophy, Ajinkya Rahane and Ruturaj Gaikwad scored hundreds for Mumbai and Maharashtra on the first day of play. Mumbai’s Sarfaraz Khan, who’s been in the headlines following his India A snub, scored just 1 run.

DRS 6

Shan Masood

In a bizarre move, PCB has named Pakistan’s current Test captain, Shan Masood, as their Consultant for International Cricket and Player Affairs. While his exact role hasn’t been defined, it’s assumed that one of Masood’s duties will be to decide contract categories for players at the same time as a captain in one of the formats.
