Injuries, availability and travel constraints could hit IPL 2026. Shubman Gill and Rahul Dravid will be awarded in Delhi. Hardik Pandya has landed in legal trouble. Team India is in for a hectic 12 months once the IPL ends. And a franchise has upset Indian fans.

SRH buy Abrar Ahmed
Adi Birrell, head coach of the Sunrisers Leeds women’s team, had stated that no one refrained him from bidding on Pakistani players. Then, in the men’s Hundred auction, Sunrisers bought Pakistani leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed for INR 2.34 crore. The move didn’t sit well with many since Abrar had mocked India after Operation Sindoor.

No WI & SA players in IPL 2026?
There might be a delay in West Indian and South African players joining their IPL 2026 teams. It was just 2 days ago that the players were able to leave India after being stuck due to airspace closure because of the West Asia conflict. However, CSK expects its players to join on time. How? We don’t know yet.

Hardik Pandya taken to court
Hardik Pandya has landed in legal trouble. After winning the T20 World Cup, the all-rounder celebrated while draping the Indian flag around his shoulders. This act has prompted a Pune-based lawyer to file a case against Pandya for insulting the national flag under section 2 of the 1971 National Flag Act.
