Rajasthan Royals aren’t one bit worried about Sanju Samson’s departure. Just like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma will feature in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Kohli might return to M Chinnaswamy Stadium in the process. Questions over Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav’s form have been raised. Kohli is in line to get another accolade. PCB isn’t pleased with ICC.

RR doesn’t need Samson
RR thinks that Sanju Samson’s exit won’t cause any issue for them in IPL 2026. The inaugural champions reckon that Vaibhav Suryavanshi will open, and Dhruv Jurel can be their wicketkeeper. Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran, who they got in return from CSK, will balance what they miss out on with Samson.

Kohli & Pant to play at Chinnaswamy?
After the Karnataka government granted KSCA permission to host matches at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, it is expected that the venue will host Vijay Hazare Trophy games. Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant are likely to play 3 matches. Their presence could see Delhi’s matches shift from Alur to Bengaluru.

Rohit to play for Mumbai
Although Rohit Sharma hasn’t confirmed it yet, he’s expected to play for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. MCA expects Rohit to play a couple of matches as preparation for the India vs New Zealand ODI series, which will commence on January 11.

Aakash Chopra also questioned Suryakumar Yadav, stating that it’s a captain’s job to flick the coin at the toss but also to make runs.

PCB complains to ICC
PCB has complained to ICC about Salman Ali Agha, Pakistan’s T20I captain, being omitted from the promotional poster for the sale of T20 World Cup 2026 tickets. The ICC poster featured captains of India, South Africa, Australia, England, and Sri Lanka, leaving PCB unhappy.
