The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has held a fast bowling development camp at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. The objective of the program was to cover multiple aspects of a fast bowler’s growth. BCCI had called 22 fast bowlers. This included 14 senior players and 8 from the Under-19 group.

Apart from fitness tests and physical evaluations, a lot of focus was on refining bowling techniques and improving tactical awareness. Troy Cooley, the fast bowling coach at the CoE, was overseeing the camp. Cooley worked with each fast bowler and gave them feedback through skill-based drills and game-scenario training.
In a video uploaded by the BCCI, several current and up-and-coming fast bowlers were spotted. Harshit Rana and Anshul Kamboj were both present. As recently as August 16, the former was playing in the Delhi Premier League. The latter was reportedly injured during the India vs England 4th Test, where he made his international debut, but looked fit here.
Apart from Harshit, another fast bowler from Delhi was spotted in Simarjeet Singh. Mumbai’s Tushar Deshpande and Suryansh Shedge, who is a pace-bowling all-rounder, were present as well.
Tamil Nadu’s tall pacer Gurjapneet Singh and Kashmir’s Yudhvir Singh Charak were also seen. Yudhvir was recently included by the CoE as part of their High Performance Monitoring Programme for the 2025-26 season as well. Fascinatingly, Suyash Sharma and Shreyas Iyer were also present.
