Abhishek Sharma has scored 1533 runs at 41.43 with a strike rate of 203.31 in T20s in 2025.

Abhishek Sharma has a dream for 2025. The aggressive opener has churned bucketloads of runs. Considering his T20I record, Abhishek didn’t have an exceptional Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. However, for India and Punjab, Abhishek was just on another level.

Abhishek Sharma’s dream 2025

Abhishek has scored 790 runs for India in 2025. The second-best, Tilak Varma, has just 468 runs to his name. He’s been a cut above everyone else. For Punjab in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2025-26, Abhishek scored 304 at 50.66 and had a mind-boggling strike rate of 249.18. He hit the third fastest hundred by an Indian as well.

After two failures in the India vs South Africa T20I series, Abhishek would look to return to his run-scoring ways and break Virat Kohli’s record for most runs scored by an Indian in a calendar year in T20 cricket. With his two 17-run knocks in the first two matches, Abhishek has gone past Suryakumar Yadav, and now just Kohli remains ahead of him.

If not in India vs South Africa 3rd T20I, Abhishek can surely break the record by the end of the series. If he doesn’t, Kohli, for the time being, will hold on to the record.
